Outman becomes second 10-game winner
Josh Outman became just the second Threshers 10-game winner ever yesterday after picking up the win on the road at Tampa.
His record now stands at 10-4 after 18 starts and two relief appearances for the Threshers. His ERA is a spectacular 2.45. Outman currently has the third most wins of any pitcher in the Florida State League.
Since the FSL All-Star break, he is 4-1 with a 2.05 ERA.

Josh pitched a great game on Monday. and congratulations also need to go out to Andrew Carpenter who picked up his 12th win of the year on Tuesday night. With that 12th win Carpenter leads the FSL and needs just three more wins to tie the Clearwater record of wins in a season (15) set by Ezequiel Astacio in 2003.
Outman promoted to Reading along with Greg Golson on Wednesday. Best of luck to both of them the rest of the year. Best of luck to the Threshers as well as we lose yet another good pitcher while still trying to make a run at the playoffs for the first time in 8 years.
How can Outman be the only 2nd 10 game winner "ever", when the record is 15 wins in 2003 and Andrew Carpenter, who you did not mention already has 12 wins and had reached 10 wins before Outman? Carpenter leads the entire league in wins.
Whats up, Carpenter needs props!
Yes...however....Andrew Carpenter should be recognized for his outstanding season and his 12 game winnings for his only first full season!!!!! Also winning phillies pitcher of the week for his complete game shut out!
2003 was the last year of the Clearwater Phillies.
The Threshers started in 2004. Andrew Carpenter was the first Thresher to 10 wins. http://threshersbaseball.blogspot.com/2007/07/carpenter-gets-10th-win.html
Forgot to add that the Pitcher of the Week honor for Carpenter was mentioned in this post - http://threshersbaseball.blogspot.com/2007/07/threshers-return-home-tonight-minus.html
Kevin,
Does this mean that Carpenter holds the record for most wins by a Thesher?
Most wins (single season). Yes.
Not sure offhand who would have Most wins (career).
